Spring and summer crochet patterns
My most popular warm weather crochet garments are all here in one post.
I use cotton or bamboo for these designs to help you keep your cool. I live in a warm climate and put most of my garment designs into that category.
This is a crochet capsule (top) wardrobe of sorts. One of everything to keep your cool and your style in all the warm months of the year. Both on the beach, boardwalk, resort or lunch with the girls you are covered, stylishly.

1. The short sleeved crochet cardigan
My first summery and by far the most patterns I’ve sold is the sweet citrus summer cardigan. I made it in a juicy orange cotton yarn (paintbox cotton in blood orange). A great topper over your summer basics, including sundresses, shorts, tank tops and swimwear.
Inclusive sizing to fit sm – 3x and customize to fit your height as well.

2. A modern crochet tank top pattern
This design I love so much I made it in more than one color. The neckline/armholes give a halter tank hybrid feel so it’s not an everyday tank but it is everyday elegant.
You can try the two tone style or a solid and certainly customize the length. Crop, mid hip or closer to a tunic length.
I used Lion brand truboo and coboo yarns for my tanks because they have more drape than cotton yarn while still well suited to upwards of 90 degree weather. I wrote about the best yarn options for summer knit and crochet projects.

3. Crochet mesh cardigan pattern
The Nantucket mesh cardigan pattern is fully customizable in length and chest width as well as sleeve options. I kept a straight sleeve for a timeless look. Short cap style sleeve would look great as a casual look or a tapered long sleeve for a different silhouette.
I made this with nuboo yarn, a lyocell yarn with a lot of bounce and drape. It is now discontinued but you can substitute truboo bamboo yarn.

4. Crochet summer tunic pattern
This crochet tunic has a split hem option as part of the design so it doesn’t bunch up at the hip when you sit. I used Lion Brand truboo bamboo yarn in the color mushroom. It’s a soft rose gold tone that looks great before you tan or after. What a great universally flattering tone!
It adds style to your everyday basics like tanks, shorts and jeans. It’s beginner friendly and customizable in length and chest width.
The thoughtful stitch prevents droop (which these drapey types of yarn can do) so it will hold it’s shape and not sag.
